DECEMBER EVENTS

14th: Christmas Caroling at the Nursing Home 6PM

17th: Youth Christmas Party....Guys bring drinks, Girls bring snacks-Everyone bring a white elephant gift & money to give to missions

27th: YEC Muskogee...Cost is $2, we will leave the church at 11AM and eat lunch in Muskogee (bring money to eat on), then we will go to Crescent Valley Baptist Church from 1-4

THERE WILL BE NO WED ACTIVITIES ON THE 24TH OR 31ST.

SKETCH is not meeting until 2009.

SET ME FREE

After weeks of hard work we were finally ready to perform the drama to SET ME FREE by Casting Crowns. Every student in SKETCH worked very hard. We performed at our Youth Lead Service on October 26th. We also sang songs & the girls group sang Sanctruary. You guys did an awesome job! This is a video of the dress rehearsal-the video from the service didn't come out. We hope to perform it again for a group of students!

FALL FANDANGO

Since we had a football game on the 31st we had a Bonfire/Hayride on Nov 1st. We went to Mike Jackson's land (thanks MIKE!) & had a great time. There were some scary things in those woods! We had a wienie roast & made smores! I think Gage lost a some eyebrows, Dalton lost some arm hair (of course he did WALK across fire).....and Whitney was attacked by a skunk!

Youth Lead Service

You guys did AWESOME on Sunday night-we are so proud of you! I had a bunch of people come tell me how great y'all were! I know you guys worked hard, but it paid off. I told you there was nothing to be nervous about-y'all did an awesome job on the drama. Our next Youth Lead Service will be the last Sunday in January 2009. We Love Y'all!

Incredible Pizza

Friday we will meet at the church at 11:00 AM & head to Tulsa for some incredible fun! We will go to Incredible Pizza and enjoy Go Karts, Bumper cars, mini golf, bowling & arcade. I hear it's incredible. SO-join us for some incredible fun-it'd be so INCREDIBLE if you can all join us!

5th Quarter

This Thursday after the game FBC will be hosting the 5th Quarter. Come join us for Frito Chili Pie & a Twist Off....no, not a dance-we ARE Baptist!!! We will have 4 Twister games set up and have a contest to see who will be the Ultimate Twister Champion! Come join us for all the fun! We will start right after the game and shut things down around Midnight.

See You At The Pole

Tomorrow morning at 7 we will have students from Warner High School praying around the flag pole. This is a national event and thousands of students will be praying for their friends, schools & communities at the same time. To give you a little encouragement we will have breakfast burritos & juice for you in the morning .

SKETCH

WOOHOO....check out those studs.....Ha-despite appearances I think everyone had a good time singing "Here I Am To Worship" during our morning worship service on September 14th. This picture is actually of our morning run through that morning before Sunday school. You guys did an AWESOME job & I had many compliments on you. You are working hard in SKETCH and it's paying off. Love y'all!

SKETCH

Well, we had our first practice for SKETCH this past Saturday & we had a great turn out. If you would like to be a part of SKETCH, but couldn't make it to practice this past Saturday-there is still time to join us. SKETCH is our music/drama group. We will be singing our first song "Here I Am To Worship" in church on September 14th during the morning service. We are also working on a drama to "Set Me Free" by Casting Crowns. If you are a part of SKETCH we will be going on a SKETCH mission trip next summer. You will be getting more information about this in the next few weeks. Thanks for all of your hard work on Saturday-I know this is a lot of work for you guys!

SUMMIT 2008

We had an AWESOME time at youth camp. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful group of students. God really opened up their hearts-they heard Him loud & clear. We know as this school year approaches they will make a huge difference for Him as their friends see them live His love! We love you guys very much!!

GAME NIGHT

MOVIE NIGHT

Our next event is Movie Night on July 25th @ 6:30 PM. Please let us know if you will be able to come so we can plan accordingly. If you have any suggestions for what movie to watch you can leave a comment here...we may take your suggestion or we may decide to watch something else:)
We will have a sign up sheet for movie night at church-so look for it!!

SUMMIT UPDATE

If you missed the meeting last night for Summit you need to get some forms from us. We need forms signed by parents, copy of insurance card & $75 to pay for camp. You can get forms by stopping by the church office or get them on Wednesday night. We also have an information packet for you & your parents. Don't forget to turn these things in. We need all papers & money by Wednesday, Aug 23rd!

Lake Eufala

We went to Lake Eufala for a cookout last night. It threatened rain as we were leaving & the bus wasn't too sure if it could make it up those hills, but we made it! It rained on us for a little bit, but we were already wet & the temperature was perfect. We ate some hot dogs (except Sarah) & played in the lake - We all had a great time!

On Monday we had everyone over to our house for water games....We played water balloon dodgeball, volleyball & had a slip-n-slide. It was so much fun!

Handbell Trip to Georgia

We went on a handbell/youth choir trip to Georgia. The students performed 5 concerts, went to Six Flags, a Braves game & went whitewater rafting down the Ocoee river. Here are a few pictures of the trip. Pictures from the whitewater trip will be coming soon.
